SPP 304: Medical Examinations
To require a medical examination of an employee when deemed necessary
All regular classified employees, university staff, and non-faculty administrators
An administrative official may require medical examinations (physical or mental) of employees when deemed necessary to determine their suitability for continued employment. However, if an employee has a disability, the administrative official must comply with the policy in the Academic Affairs Policies and Procedures Manual, ACD 405, “Individuals with Disabilities.”
The Office of Human Resources and/or the Office of Equity & Inclusion is available to provide guidance regarding this policy.
