To require a medical examination of an employee when deemed necessary

Classified, service professional, and administrative employees

An administrative official may require medical examinations (physical or mental) of employees when deemed necessary to determine their suitability for continued employment. However, if an employee has a disability, the administrative official must comply with the policy in the Academic Affairs Policies and Procedures Manual, ACD 405, “Americans with Disabilities.”

Human Resources and/or the Office of Diversity is available to provide guidance regarding this policy.
