Departments may use volunteers for non-high-risk positions. The department head must select volunteers who meet the minimum qualifications to perform the tasks. Volunteers may not replace regular classified employees and university staff who have been laid off.
A volunteer may not perform any work until the department head and volunteer have completed and processed the ASU Volunteer Registration Form available on the Online Insurance Forms and Guidance Documents Web page.
