ASU offers a post-eligibility program sponsored by the Board of Regents and the Sun Angel Foundation. The post-eligibility year of aid is designed to assist scholarship student-athletes in completing their degrees within five years. Scholarship student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility, but have classes left to finish their degree, must apply by the deadline and meet specific criteria. Two of the most important criteria are:

  1. the student must be within 30 semester-hours of earning a degree

    and

  2. the student must have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Student-athletes cannot have more than five years of aid within a six-year period. The award is equal to the amount of the student-athlete’s last year of aid or average of all years the student-athlete received aid, whichever is greater. For more specific requirements, please contact a member of the Student-Athlete Development staff or the faculty athletics representative. Contact information can be found in the Sun Devil Athletics Directory on the Sun Devil Athletics Web site.
