Background

The Office for Student-Athlete Development is responsible for oversight of the academic and comprehensive student-athlete development services and programming. These services and programs are developed in conjunction with input from sport administrators, sport coaches, and the campus community at-large.

Vision: to serve as the model for comprehensive student-athlete development; cultivating Sun Devils for Life - who dream big, maximize their potential, and impact their world.

Mission: the mission of the Office for Student-Athlete Development is to provide services, programming, and guidance that foster:

  • Academic Success
  • Development of Critical Life Skills
  • Graduation
  • Preparation for Life Beyond Intercollegiate Athletics

Policy

All new student-athletes are required to attend both their appropriate college / department orientation and the Sun Devil Athletes Orientation program within their first week of arrival.
