RSP 502–02: Leaves and Absences for Sponsored Projects Personnel

Purpose

To provide guidance and define allowability for charging leave, absences and sabbatical costs for personnel paid from sponsored projects.

Policy

Personnel paid from a sponsored project agency/org (account #) receive the same leave and sabbatical benefits as personnel paid from other university funds.

Exception

Faculty, academic professionals and graduate assistants/associates on academic-year appointments do not accrue vacation benefits. Vacation leave is not accrued on the percentage of time charged to the sponsored project.
