To ensure that equipment is properly maintained

Property Control

Policy

Equipment should be maintained by department personnel or outside vendors in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedules. Records of maintenance performance should be kept for each item.

Required Maintenance Records

Departments should keep the following records on equipment for which they have custodial responsibility:

1. ASU Property Control number
2. condition of equipment at time of maintenance
3. date maintenance was performed

   and

4. description of maintenance performed.
