PCS 602–06: Off-Site Inventories of Sponsor-Owned Property

Purpose

To establish a policy to schedule off-site property inventories for sponsor-owned property

Property Control

Applicability

All sponsor-owned property

Policy

Sponsor-owned property allocated to ASU and existing at subcontractor facilities is inventoried annually.

Procedure

The sponsored property coordinator prepares and forwards the inventory listing to all facilities in custody of sponsor-owned property.

The facility with sponsor-owned property:

1. reviews the ASU Property Control inventory listing
2. attempts to locate property
3. marks property as either Found, Not Found, or Deleted on the report

   and

4. forwards the report to the sponsored property coordinator.

The sponsored property coordinator:

1. reviews, reports, and resolves inventory discrepancies with the facility

   and

2. reports the results to the sponsor and/or the cognizant property administrator.
