Midterm academic progress is monitored for all first year student-athletes and for select continuing student-athletes as determined by the head coach and the academic staff of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Academic progress may be checked at anytime; however, it is primarily evaluated at or about the fifth and tenth weeks of the semester.
Faculty may receive written or oral requests for information concerning a student-athlete’s academic status/progress. This request may be made directly by the student-athlete or by a member of the Student-Athlete Development staff. Inquiries will not be made by coaches.
Student-Athlete Development staff may contact faculty orally or in writing to verify a student-athlete’s final grade in a course.
