The Advantage User ID for each approval signature must be included on Form A so Advantage Helpline can ensure that the person signing has the authority to approve the addition/change/deletion.
When establishing org manger and/or authorized signer(s) for agency/org, a New Account Application Form must be completed (see also FIN 202, “Establishment of Agency/Orgs”). The approval signature of the new org manager and higher-level authority is required, along with his or her Advantage User ID.
In the case of a change in org manager, the approval signature of the present org manager, dean, director, chair, business manager, or higher-level authority over the agency/org is required, along with his or her Advantage User ID. If the previous org manager will remain an authorized signer on the agency/org(s) and retained, if warranted, on the Advantage security tables, this should be indicated.
A change in the org signer(s) other than org manager requires the approval signature of the present org manager, dean, director, chair, business manager, or higher-level authority, along with his or her Advantage User ID.
Note: For org manager changes on sponsored project agency/orgs, certain additional approvals may be required. Consult your Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration site officer.
