Purpose
To ensure the appropriate display of printed materials on
bulletin boards within public areas and corridors of university
buildings

Background
The haphazard and uncontrolled posting of bulletins, notices,
posters, schedules, temporary signs, etc., in campus buildings
creates a number of problems and hazards including:
- undue clutter
- confusion resulting from the proliferation of printed
information
- unfavorable aesthetics
- fire hazards
and
- damage to building finishes.

Policy
The following guidelines apply to the posting of all materials
inside or attached to university buildings:
- All displayed materials must relate to university-approved
organizations, activities, and programs.
- Printed materials
must be appropriately displayed on a bulletin board or inside a
display case.
- The use and control of bulletin boards within each building
will be the responsibility of the facilities coordinator or the
department(s) occupying the facility.
- Printed materials will be permitted for posting in buildings
only upon the specific approval and stamp of the building
facilities coordinator or the individual(s) designated by the
occupying department(s) to approve posted materials.
- Printed materials posted in any area other than approved
bulletin boards or display cases and those that do not have the
proper approval will be removed.
