Facility Condition Survey

The Capital Programs Management Group (CPMG) in conjunction with Facilities Management (FM) will perform a facility condition survey before the university enters into any commitment to rent, lease, or purchase real property.

Facility Condition Report

A written facility condition report will be completed, signed by the assistant vice president of CPMG & FM, and issued to the appropriate university official before a contract is signed. A copy of the report shall be maintained in the CPMG. Depending on the scope and needed expertise, the CPMG may require outside consultant advice.

Responsibility	Action
University official	Request the engineering associate director for the Capital Programs Management Group (CPMG) to complete a facility condition report.
Engineering associate director for the Capital Programs Management Group (CPMG) and Facilities Management (FM) director	Assign an appropriate staff member to determine the facility condition.
CPMG staff member	Prepare a report, based upon results of the survey, for the engineering associate director for the CPMG to sign. Deliver the report to the engineering associate director for the CPMG and to the director of FM.
Assistant vice president for the CPMG & FM	Review and sign the report. Make a copy of the report and send it to the university official. Retain the original for departmental files.
University official	Take appropriate action based on the information in the report.
