ACD 601–08: Automobile Insurance

Purpose

To provide payroll-deducted premiums for university-sponsored automobile insurance

Applicability

Faculty and academic professionals employed to work 20 hours per week (50 percent FTE) or more for a continuous period of six or more months

Policy

Eligible faculty and academic professionals may authorize payroll deductions for the university-sponsored automobile insurance plan.

Procedure

The faculty member or academic professional contacts Human Resources (HR) for the name of the local agency, contacts the local agency for the sponsored automobile insurance program, and arranges for coverage. The local agent binds coverage and sends the payroll authorization form to HR.
