Faculty and academic professionals who terminate employment with the university may be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits.
Faculty members and academic professionals who become unemployed and believe they are entitled to unemployment insurance should file a claim at the nearest Unemployment Office.

The faculty member or academic professional assembles the following documentation/information (which may be required by the Unemployment Office): a Social Security card; the name under which the employer does business; and the employer’s business address. He or she takes the documentation/information to the nearest Unemployment Office and files a claim.
