Policy

If an academic unit at ASU wishes to employ a faculty member or an academic professional from another academic unit in the university, the administrative head of the employing unit should receive permission from the head of the unit in which the person is currently employed, before negotiating with or recruiting the faculty member or academic professional. Prior approval from the executive vice president and provost of the university and the dean(s) of the college(s) involved is also required before the faculty member or academic professional is approached.
