Every instructor in every class every semester should follow the guidance of the faculty senate, which stated: “If the instructor believes it is necessary, a syllabus should communicate to students that some course content may be considered sensitive.” Each chair or director should ensure that new employees with instructional responsibilities are advised of the need to consider this as they produce their syllabus.
