ACD 120: “Second-Generation” Credit

To define “second-generation” courses and describe ASU policies excluding credit for such courses

Policy

In accordance with Board of Regents’ policies, ASU shall not grant academic credit for “second-generation” courses. This policy applies to all courses, regardless of the terminology used to name them. Many such courses serve useful purposes, but awarding ASU credit for them is inappropriate.
