Ten years ago, Arizona State University embarked on a mission to create a new model of higher education – a New American University – to simultaneously increase enrollment and performance to meet the needs of our community, state and nation. We have torn down academic walls and forged new disciplines, tripled research volume (as measured by annual research expenditures), created a new campus, awarded 146,000 degrees while improving academic performance and impact across the board.
